Does thinking about meditating give you anxiety? Do you feel like you don't have the time to "do it right"? Watch this five-minute video for some myth-busters that are keeping you from enjoying the benefits of meditation and connecting with your inner self.
5 mins to reset your day
Sometimes we need a reset and all we have is 5 mins. This easy meditation will give you the instant reset you need in a very short period of time. You are best off listening to this with earphones, in a space where you will be left alone (it's only 5 mins....), and sitting in a comfortable position
What things are you telling yourself that are keeping you from being happy? How have you trained your mind into believing that you are less than perfect?
Watch this online meet-up conversation to hear how common it is for us, especially women, to say things to ourselves that we would never say to other people. And learn some ideas on what you can do to break this self-defeating cycle.
If you want to see how much emotional baggage you are carrying, look around your house. The more physical stuff you hold onto, the more emotional baggage you have. Start by cleaning out little things, just a small amount at a time, don't overwhelm yourself. As you start eliminating the physical stuff, you will see that the attachments to them also fade away. These are conscious living techniques. Famous speakers like Eckhart Tolle and Brene Brown speak about emotional baggage all the time. The key is to start small. If you bite off too much, you will just overwhelm yourself and the task will not get completed. Maybe just a sock drawer for today? Or how about a drawer in your bathroom.... One little thing will be the beginning to a better you.
Do you feel like you are taking two steps forward and three steps back? Making improvements, only to sabotage what you are doing? In this discussion we talk about ways that women usually sabotage themselves, some thoughts on why we do that, and some things we can practice daily to keep ourselves from repeating this un-motivating cycle. During this talk, my goal is to make you aware of small changes you can make to your life for big results in your overall happiness and well-being. Progress not perfection.
